Apprentice Receptionist and Team Administrator

Gyron is a rapidly growing part of NTT, the world’s largest telecommunications service provider, operating highly resilient and energy efficient Data Centres and efficient data centre services, supporting business critical IT applications for some of the world’s biggest and most innovative Cloud Hosting and SaaS Service providers.  Gyrons currently owns and operates five state-of-the-art datacentre facilities in the South East of England, with plans to expand its data centre portfolio in the short-term future. 

About the role:

This will be a demanding role assisting the PA and the Senior Management Team by planning, organising, prioritising and managing daily administration tasks in an effective, and proactive manner.  As this is an apprenticeship position you will be required to attend college and complete a Business and administration course.

Specifically, you will:

  •       Organise and maintain diaries using Microsoft Outlook 
  •       Arrange internal and external meetings, including booking rooms, arranging access, and organising food and drink
  •       Screen telephone calls, enquiries and requests and handle queries where appropriate
  •       Deal with incoming correspondence, write business letters and handle outgoing post/parcels
  •       Assist with documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations
  •       Liaise with clients, suppliers and other staff, including overseas affiliates
  •       Run personal errands for Directors
  •       Tidy and maintain the reception area
  •       Provide general administrative and clerical support

Any other duties relevant to the position and the smooth running of the company

  • To possess a driving license valid for use in the UK
  • To undergo full security checks to BS7858:2012
