HR Advisor - 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

About the role: 

We are looking to recruit a highly organised HR professional to join our small and busy HR team as an HR Advisor on a Fixed Term Contract for 1 year.  Reporting to the HR Manager and working alongside the HR and Payroll Administrator you will act as a first point of contact, providing support and guidance for first-line employment related queries from employees and ensuring delivery of a first-class customer experience. 

This role would suit applicants who are all round generalist, who have experience with supporting Line Managers with recruitment and employee relations support.

The successful candidate will be approachable, patient and conscientious, with the ability to set and follow robust processes.

 

Specifically, you will be:

  • Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business
  • Creating, reviewing and updating HR policies and processes
  • Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they may have, and managing their expectations
  • Handling HR matters reliably and in accordance with best practice
  • Supporting with various investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
  • Coordinating and supporting on any recruitment campaigns
  • Partnering with line managers to review employee relations, performance management, resourcing and staff management
  • Updating and maintaining the HR Information System data
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices
  • Creating and updating reports on Excel for Senior Management Team use

 

Required experience:

  • Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the best practice on recruitment and selection
  • Ability to use a HR information system including, accessing, inputting, compiling and interrogating data
  • Completed CIPD 5 or working towards completion
